The Difference Between Being Safe and Feeling Safe

You can leave the relationship.

Get the new job.

Move to the new house.

Start over.

And still feel scared.

Because feeling safe isn't always about where you are.

Sometimes it's about what you've been through.

People often think healing should happen the moment circumstances change.

Like the second the storm passes, the sunshine should magically arrive.

But that's not how humans work.

Your life can change long before your nervous system believes it.

And honestly?

That's normal.

The goal isn't forcing yourself to "just move on."

The goal is giving yourself enough grace to catch up.
