Loving the Body Your In.

Here’s the truth: your body has been with you through every single thing you’ve ever lived through. Every heartbreak, every laugh that made your stomach hurt, every moment you thought you couldn’t survive… your body carried you through it. That alone is something to love.

The body in remarkable when you really think about it.

But anyways, I know it’s not always that simple. We live in a world that tells us daily what we “should” look like. Smaller, bigger, tighter, smoother, younger, it’s exhausting. And somewhere in all that noise, we forget that our bodies aren’t here to be perfect little display pieces. They’re here to let us experience life. To hug our kids, to dance in the kitchen, to feel the sun on our skin.

Body positivity isn’t about pretending to love every single thing you see in the mirror every day. I know somedays I'm like wtf, and just stare at myself. We all have those days. But this is about shifting that relationship with your body.

Instead of standing there and tearing yourself apart, what if you stood there and whispered thank you? Thank you, legs, for getting me out of bed. Thank you, arms, for holding the people I love. Thank you, belly, for being soft enough that I can curl up comfortably in bed at night.

Loving your body doesn’t happen overnight… it’s a practice, an actual conversation with you. Some days it will feel easy, like you could strut down the street with all the confidence in the world. Other days, you’ll need reminders. On those days, remember this: your body isn’t the enemy. It’s the home you live in. And it deserves care, kindness, and love.

Here’s my little invitation:

Next time you’re in front of the mirror, pick one thing, just one, that you can appreciate. Maybe it’s your smile. Maybe it’s the way your eyes light up when you laugh. Maybe it’s simply the fact that your heart is still beating, keeping you alive. Start there.

The more you choose gratitude, the more you’ll notice beauty. The more you speak kindness, the more you’ll soften into yourself. And slowly, you’ll realize: you’ve been worthy of love all along.
