For a long time, I thought the plot twist in my story would be someone else.

That someone would finally love me the way I deserved.

That someone would apologize.

That someone would change.

That someone would finally see my worth.

I spent years waiting for the ending to come from someone else.

Then one day...The plot twist was me.

Not because I became perfect.

Not because life suddenly got easier.

But because I stopped waiting.

I stopped waiting for permission to be happy.

I stopped waiting for someone else to validate my worth.

I stopped waiting for people to become who I needed them to be.

Instead...

I started becoming who I needed.

I started setting boundaries.

I started saying no without explaining myself.

I started trusting my gut instead of talking myself out of it.

I stopped chasing people who weren't choosing me.

I stopped shrinking myself to make other people comfortable.

And little by little, my life began to change.

Not because everyone around me changed.

Because I did.

I used to think healing meant fixing everything around me.

Now I know healing often means changing the way we respond to it.

Sometimes the biggest miracle isn't finding the right relationship.

It's becoming the kind of person who no longer accepts the wrong one.

It's realizing your peace matters.

Your voice matters.

Your dreams matter.

Your happiness matters.

Looking back, I don't think the biggest turning point in my life was the day everything fell apart.

It was the day I decided I wasn't going to abandon myself anymore.

That was the real plot twist.

Not them.

Me.

Because the moment you choose yourself, the whole story begins to change.

And maybe...

That's been the ending you were searching for all along.
